Fast and Curious
Sorry I wasn't here yesterday to go over Fast and Curious answers with you.
How to do the problems:
-4(5) = -20 because a negative times a positive is a negative.
5 - (-9) you should know this one. Change to 5 + 9 = 14
-3(-6) = 18 because a negative times a negative is a positive.
-2(-3)(-4) = -24 because a negative times a negative is a positive then a positive times a negative is a negative.
Period 1 86% Way To Go
Period 2 72% Not bad. I bet you'll have 95% before Friday.
Today's Activities
1. Before you do another Fast and Curious, try this Khan Academy. Do it until you get 75%.
Khan: Multiplying Negative Numbers Be sure to log in.
When you have finished Khan with 75%, do Fast and Curious.
Do not use the answer key above while doing fast and curious. Honor system here. The one on Friday will count in PowerSchool so be sure you are actually doing the problems not cheating. LOL
1. Fast and Curious 4B. Find in Google Classroom. Work by yourself. SORRY NO CALCULATORS or Googling the answer.
Here is Home Practice if you don't do well on 4A Do as many as you feel you need to. Scroll Down for Answers.
How to multiply negative numbers key here.
2. Continue to work with a partner sitting next to you on the activity in Desmos. If your partner is absent, do it by yourself. If you were on your partner's computer, try to guess where you left off and start there.
Only use one computer between the two of you so you can close one of the computers. When you sign in, change the name to both of your names.
Click on the link below to get your assignment in Desmos. Be sure to STOP and check the Red Light Green Light answers before you GO on to the next problem.
If you have no partner or don't want to work with a partner, do it all yourself.
When you are working with a partner, the point is for the two of you to talk about each problem. It's not OK for one person to do the problem while the other person zones out or does something else. Both partners are to be working together on each problem. Get it?
